Description

The ‘Player Action’ button (both from the main Players page and the Player Record) allow you to send commands to your players and perform the following actions.


Resolution


Force Update - allows you to send a command to a player to force content to download and update. A player must be online and checking in to the software to receive the Force Update command.

Refresh Content – Forces a refresh of content in a layout. If you’re not seeing updates like text/font changes, or background or images changes go through automatically, a 'Force Update' is recommended.

Screenshot – This allows you to take screenshots on demand, which will be stored in the ‘Screenshots’ tab in the Player Record.

On – This action sends a command to turn the screen on. Supported by smart displays and most external media players. A Screen Management schedule can also be set up to turn the screens On/Off automatically on a recurring daily schedule. For extended down time, the On/Off Calendar will allow you to set player screens to go On/Off from one calendar date to another.

Off - This action sends a command to turn the screen off. Supported by smart displays and most external media players. A Screen Management schedule can also be set up to turn the screens On/Off automatically on a recurring daily schedule. For extended down time, the On/Off Calendar will allow you to set player screens to go On/Off from one calendar date to another.

Reboot Player – This action restarts the player. We recommend that a Daily Reboot is set on a daily schedule to clear the player’s cache.

Firmware – Only when needed, a firmware update can be sent to support smart displays.

IR Lock On – The IR remote can be locked on supported smart displays.

IR Lock Off - The IR remote can be locked on supported smart displays.

Windows Options – Advanced Windows commands can be setup and sent to Windows based media players.
